Marash Dukaj is a politician
who has been serving as Minister of Public Administration in Montenegro since
28 April 2022. He is a member of the Albanian Alternative and brings extensive
experience in education, media, and public service to his current role.
Dukaj completed his early schooling in Tuzi and went on to
study at the University of Montenegro, earning a degree in teaching, followed
by a Master’s in School Psychology from the European University of Tirana.
Before entering national politics, he worked as a primary school teacher and
later as a journalist and editor. He has also held leadership roles in the
Ministry of Education and local government in Tuzi.
As Minister of Public Administration, Dukaj has led efforts
to modernize Montenegro’s public services, improve efficiency, and advance
digital transformation. Under his leadership, the ministry has worked on e‑government
platforms, public administration reform, and laws that strengthen transparency,
civil service standards, and access to information.
Dukaj has also emphasized Montenegro’s integration with
European standards and cooperation with international partners to enhance
public sector performance and innovation. His work reflects a broader focus on
improving both services for citizens and the overall administrative capacity of
the state.
