Gjelosh Gjokaj

Gjelosh Gjokaj was a distinguished Albanian painter  from Malësia, widely regarded as one of the most important visual artists to emerge from the Albanian-speaking regions of the Balkans. His work earned international recognition and contributed significantly to modern Albanian art.

He was born in the village of Milesh near Tuzi. From an early age, Gjokaj showed a strong talent for drawing and visual expression, which later led him to pursue formal studies in art.
